For eight years Bill and Dellanna O’Brien worked on the island of Java in the field of music and the arts, as well as radio and television. Dellanna holds a bachelors degree from Hardin-Simmons University, a masters degree from TCU, and a doctoral degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Bill is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and the School of Music at SWBTS. Both Bill and Dellanna have received honorary doctorate degrees from their alma mater. Dellanna has honorary degrees also from the University of Richmond in Virginia and Judson College in Alabama.

The O'Briens' lives have focused on the physical and spiritual needs of people worldwide. Both of them served international organizations that carried them to all of the continents. Their cross-cultural experiences equip them to relate uniquely in a global mosaic.
