In
response to the devastating tsunami of December 26, 2004,
the citizens and faith communities of the City of Frisco
and other communities are joining with others to make a difference in
the province of Aceh, Indonesia, as reflected in the vision, mission
and values of Compassion Frisco. Compassion
Frisco will focus on individual community needs and engage Partners,
both Domestic and International, to assist in delivering aid.

TASKS
- Develop and help staff community training centers
(as hubs of hope)
- Capitalize micro-loans for small businesses (as engines of economic
recovery)
- Equip trainers in trauma counseling (as a coping mechanism with
grief)
- Engage partners intentionally in agreed-upon
projects (as a model of collaboration)
Compassion Frisco is seeking funds for multiple
projects in Aceh, Indonesia.
Funding priorities will focus on the development of community training
centers, capitalizing small businesses with loans and
grants, livelihood kits helping men and women get back
to work, the training of trainers for dealing with trauma,
children and youth activities, and restoring the central
park in the heart of the city of Banda Aceh.
